Foot pain can be due to a problem in any part of the foot, i.e. bones, ligaments, tendons, muscles, fascia, toenail beds, nerves, blood vessels, or skin can be the source of foot pain. The cause of foot pain may be narrowed down from the patient's history of the problem, the anatomical location of the pain, and the type, severity and duration of the symptoms.
Examples of causes can be plantar fasciitis, bunions, hammer toe and numerous other toe and foot misalignments, shin splints, general and sports related injuries.
We offer treatment methods to help reduce foot pain which may be escalated to further intervention or referral to other medical professionals as required.

Gait analysis is the study of peoples movement. It is used to assess, plan, and treat individuals with conditions affecting their ability to walk. It is also used in sports to help athletes run more efficiently, to identify posture-related or movement-related problems in those with injuries, or underlying mechanical inefficiencies and targets any problematic areas.
At Brodricks Podiatry we observe your walking/running patterns which may indicate functional limitations. Where limitations are due to soft tissue restriction, strengthening and conditioning of specific muscle groups, in combination with functional orthotic prescription have been shown to improve skeletal alignment and facilitate better movement.
Our Bio-mechanic clinic can identify and address many of the foot problems and gait conditions using Orthosis – orthotic insoles – designed and bespoke to individual patients requirements to remedy and realign foot and lower limb conditions to relieve foot, ankle, knee and back pain.
